2011 Clark County, WA Prop 1 Voting Results

Due to the reduction in funding by the State of Washington in 2005, the public transit in Clark County, WA, C-TRAN, has to periodical go to the voters for a small sales tax increase in order to keep service levels constant, or to make any improvements. They did this in 2011 as Proposition 1, and it passed by 54%.

Cowley GIS was contracted to map these election results. Upon completion, C-TRAN was interviewed by The Columbian, to which this map was published on the front page on December 14, 2011 with an analysis of the map results. The newspaper did make a few cartographic modifications, but some of the original cartographic elements were made at the request of the client.
